RAM NAGAR

Across the river from Varanasi sits the fort of Ram Nagar, home of the kings of Banaras. Visiting by e-rickshaw, we first visit a nearby 19th century Goddess temple, and thereafter enter Ram Nagar Fort to see the temple of Veda Vyas (the compiler of the Vedas) on the balcony of the Maharaja’s palace. Then we shall visit one or two other places of interest in the adjacent village, finishing with a delicious lassi.
