CITY OF THE GODDESS

In many societies, the divine feminine is often overlooked – but in Varanasi she is everywhere! We visit Goddess temples of the city, the unfixed border between “devotion” and “tantra”, and explore the fluid nature of her worship, We will see how the physical presence of the goddess is tangible in her temples, much more than the abstraction of some male deities.

The suggested time for this walk is in the morning (around 8am, to avoid traffic), but in the afternoon is also possible. If you have any special requirements, please tell us and we will do our best to assist you.

Assi Ghat at the mutually-agreed time, or if you prefer, we could come to pick you up by e-rickshaw from your hotel (an additional rs.250 for Old City hotels / rs.500 for Cantonment hotel pickup, not including transport cost).
